The Whitehorse Ranch holds the only irrigation water rights on Whitehorse and Willow creeks. The water is placed in both concrete and dirt ditches to flood or sub-irrigate both alfalfa and wild hay. Even during drought years the ranch can produce a hay crop and provide late summer and fall feed.

Grazing Permits:

There are two Bureau of Land Management gazing permits that belong to the ranch. The Whitehorse Butte Allotment (1206) which consist of 10 pastures and is used from March 16 to September 31, and the Coyote Lake Allotment (10804) which is in two pastures and used from October 1 to January 31. The summer permit has 22,000+ acres of crested wheat grass pasture on the lower elevation and has an 8,000 foot elevation at the top.
